Simon is a 3 year old border collie/beagle mix. He was severely abused in the past and needs a quite home to help him overcome his fears. From experience we have learned that these dogs make the best pets in the future because they are so grateful for the opportunity you have given them. He just needs someone to help him work though his fear now. He is doing GREAT in his current foster home and will make someone a wonderful cuddlier. He will sit in the corner until he is comfortable in your home. He has NEVER once had an accident in the house and is great with ALL dogs and kids. However, he will not be a playful dog. More one that sets by you and just wants to be loved. Simon will not be a watch dog but will win your heart quickly. We will require him to go to a home with other dogs. Please offer this guy a safe home to overcome his fears. He will be forever grateful!!! Simon is being fostered in DE. Adoption Fee: $250 Poor Simon was the only one that was not wanted... We pulled in from a shelter in NC after an adoption day. He was the only dog that was not adopted. He had been SEVERLY abused and needed a lot of care both medically and mentally. We agreed to take him and offer these things to him. He is now coming out of his shell and recently barked for the first time. Dogs like these require long term care before being placed for adoption but just need rescues to believe in them... Please consider donating to his care. $5-$10 a month can go a long way for a dog in need. All of our dogs are in foster homes and we require a completed application prior to visiting our doggies. We want to know a little about you before sending you to meet our volunteers. All of our dogs are on our website. If they have "pending" after their name, they are pending adoption. Some of our dogs have "foster me" after their names. This means they need a foster home until they are adopted. Please fill out a foster application if you can help by fostering. We do adopt out of state but you must pick your new baby up from us.
